I'll be honest, I have never had much of a desire to write a blog... Writing doesn't come naturally to me, I am a woman of few words, and why would anyone else really want to know my thoughts on things!?
As a small business owner with a passion for my craft, I have come to realize that I do actually have information that I want to share! In conversation with customers, clients, and people in my everyday life, it has become apparent that many tidbits of knowledge that I possess about flowers aren't common knowledge to other people. While I do not claim to be an expert on anything, I do have experience that I can share. This season will be my 4th year of growing cut flowers on a larger scale (3rd season selling to customers), but I have other prior experience growing and tending to all manner of plants and gardens.

If I am being realistic about the amount of time and energy I have to invest in creating blog content, the goal will be to add a post every two weeks during the growing season. I awoke from my winter rest about two weeks ago and began pre-sprouting my ranunculus, so hopefully that means I am right on schedule for delivering information on the blog, right!?
The blog will probably just cover in-season information about what is going on here on the farm and what flowers are in bloom. This platform should be a great resource for my Bouquet Subscription Customers to answer that most common question I get from people: "What is this flower?". I'll try to include flower names, varieties, growing tips, cautions, etc. Some posts might include features on seed planning, plant maintenance, helpful farm tools, or anything else I feel like rambling about at the time :)
To help keep you in the loop when new posts go live, I plan to have an email newsletter, but that has not yet been fully thought out and executed. One thing at a time!
Ok, that was short and sweet and to the point about my intentions for this platform. First blog post done. We had snow today, but stay tuned for more exciting content as the farm springs to life over the next few weeks!!
